Husqvarna 553 RBX Professional Backpack Brushcutter. Here for sale is this lightly used powerful backpack brushcutter. I've owned it since new, using it mainly for a horrible 250m ditch clearance job which I usually do late spring and again in the autumn to clear it of weed growth (like cow parsley and nettles). The back mounted design makes it possible to work with less effort on slopes and at angles - so much easier than a traditional cow horn machine.
Also great in/around/under trees as it's possible to get into areas that would otherwise remain inaccessible. It's hard to keep a machine like this tip top as it's the nature of the work that it, and the operator, generally gets covered! That said, I've always looked after it cleaning down after each use and servicing per the guidelines. I've also often run it on alkylate fuel to avoid carburettor issues after the lengthy periods of downtime as I normally utilise a smaller 25cc equivalent battery powered machine for general garden work.
In addition to having had a thorough check over and clean, I've replaced the spark plug (because I already had one), greased the flexible drive shaft, checked the gear head lubrication, blown out the air filter, and replaced the foam pre-filter. As you'll see/hear in the video, it starts well and runs great.
It is supplied with everything that you can see in the pictures with the line head pre-fitted, the unused blade inc fittings, instruction book, tools, and grease. I'm fairly small (64kg/5'8) and the harness just about fits me on the tightest settings. Move the frame up if you're taller and there is plenty of adjustment in all of the straps. The handle can also be moved within the zone shown on the shaft. It takes some getting used to with so much power on tap, and to be honest, it never needs to be run very hard as it literally takes out anything with minimal effort! This remains a current Husqvarna product so search out the info on the web. I've also put a longer more informative video on my YouTube so search for rik-rutland and you'll find it.
However, if you're able to get to me or not a million miles away from LE15, that may be preferable, so just send a message and we'll see what can be worked out.
